Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Dorian Phrases by Jose Lassaga

Here is my breakdown of the video Lick 1 is based around g and b hitting the notes of Emin Lick 2 is e blues with the M6 from dorian in the descending run down to g. Lick 3 arpeggios are shaped 1,b3, 5,b7,9 then repeating up every 5th. Lick 4 is a very nice lick accents the c# and a then again. This seemed very dorian Lick 5 outline emin again Lick 6 blues stevie ray kinda lead Lick 7 alternate picking chromatic blues scale ending on e Overall I think my timing got a little astray during the arpeggios I will definately work on them. They have shown me a new way of moving across the neck. The lick after that got blemished by the timing but I pull it together at the end of the Lick 4. I wish I would have held a few notes longer and some more abrupt. Also my timing on Lick 7 is wacky, I am working on my picking hand and it's in the middle of a change. Overall this was a very nice lesson.
