Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate! Nice to see you working hard! I think that this take is more precise than the previous one but there is still more room for timing an definition in your playing. The first thing that comes to mind when I listen your take is that your tone could be better equalized. Compare your take with the original and you will see that the original sounds less bass and more defined. Experiment with the EQ trying to emulate the original lesson's tone, increase frequencies aroung 3Khz, and lower frequencies around 800hz - 1000 hz and also below 100hz.

Regarding your playing, I think that you still have to pick stronger, mostly the single note riffs (or short passages) and also try to make the last section sound smoother (starting at 00:51). In other other words, try to make this lesson sound tighter and more defined.

I would consider the timming as a biggest problem here...but some I was wondering about some suggestion that gabe (?) di somewhere else. Some usb interfaces can cause weird latency - irregular latency issues. I had those problems too and I wonder if You are not at exactly the same place now. According to some first bars of this lesson + a lot of You previous takes to other lessons I know it should not be that BIG problem with some synchro with the backing. But there is a place in this take where the guitar goes of of sync with the backing and for me it sound like not Your fault...but rather some audio recording fail. Had exactly same problems with GX quite some time ago.

One tip for sure would be to...make sure You use the bridge pickups position for this lesson takes. Some articulation tools just ain't sit on the neck pickup. Sometimes with digital distortion it's hard to understand why this difference is so important but believe me - plug to a few reference rock/metal tube amps and You'll know what I'm about. On the regular amp the tone would be way too muddy so You would probably immediately switch to bridge position.
