Well, I guess I should introduce myself,

Hello, My name is Kevin, and I'm from the Netherlands. I've been playing electrical guitar for almost half an year now, I had a classical guitar for a long time now, it belonged to my cousin, and was all crap, the thick e string didnt stay in tune and stuff, but it was fun nonetheless, especially since I ever really got into it.
I can play some riffs now, I learned the wrong way, since all I do now is down picking, and sometimes, alternate, but I'm trying to change that now.

Anyone got any tips or stuff? like which lessons to follow?
I'm into metal/rock.

(Oh, and a PS. Since one week ago, I can finally play a full song! What an achievement! "Smells like teen spirit - Nirvana")

Well, Rock on!

Thanks guy's, I'm working on the metal course now, but the second one, Metal for beginners 3 or something, I keep having this problem.
after the 0 - 2 - 2 power chord, I need to do like, 0 - 5 - 7 on the A string, but the E and D string are still ringing out because of the powerchord, is there any trick to stopping this easily?

try stopping the strings ringing with your right hand before playing this part on the A-string
