Hi all.

I am fairly new to guitar and am now exploreing into the relms of recording me playing the guitar. My question is what software is easy to use and is there any software for like a drum beat and stuff. What im relly for is something that can play drums to some metallica songs etc. I really am exploreing here and havn't got a clue. Please help. I have been looking at some software called EZDrummer. With this software can i download from somewhere say the drum beat to the four horsemen (metallica) etc.

Many thanks.

Reaper is a freeware sequencer.

EZdrummer and Addictive drums are more for own compositions. If you're looking for drums for a specific song try searching for MIDI drum for just that, what you find you can download and put it into Reaper.

EDIT: I don't know if there are comminuties that share their own tracks for EZdrummer.

Hey Nody,

If you do decide to get EzDrummer or Addictive drums and if you already have something like Guitar Pro you can download a Guitar Pro tab from say Ultimate Guitar (they generally have drum patterns in the composition) and export the drum track as a Midi file, then insert the Midi file onto the track on your sequencer which is set up for the Drum Software and it will then automatically play the drum track which can be recorded with.

It's dead easy, I've done it a few times and it couldnt be simpler. smile.gif

Yeah Ez and Addictive drums will play back your midi drum tracks...Just setup the midi track for its output to be Ez or Addictive and it will play you that midi in real time..Try exporting midi from guitar pro tabs or find midi songs on internet.. wink.gif

There is an old akai sample library that is general midi mapped, Yellow tools pure drums, so you can isolate and export drum part from any midi file
