What song do you consider the most relaxing one...?

Mine would be:

Listening to that song while you're laying in bed, looking at the ceiling...daydreaming, makes you want to close your eyes.. and fly away....

I agree with this! In the same vein, Opeth's Epilogue and Ending Credits both have the same effect on me. Also a lot of classical, stuff like moonlight or a lot of bach stuff. Radiohead has a lot of really great relaxing stuff, especially on the new album but also with stuff like Street Spirit.

Bob Marley.

SMASHING PUMPKINS. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a very relaxing album for me.

John Hiatt's 'I'll never get over you'.

Bob Dylan's later albums, see 'Oh Mercy', specifically stuff like Man in the long black coat, Most of the time, or Shooting Star.

A lot of dire straits, especially from Brothers in Arms.

Without doubt:

Pachelbel Canon !!! (the original, not the rock version)

Posted by: Slammer Feb 7 2008, 05:59 AM

I have to Agree with Gen.

Manhattan by Eric Johnson does it for me everytime.

Esp. the Slide Part ohmy.gif I could just drift away.

Also -for me at least- Alot of the Motown songs like "Sail on" and "Easy" by the commodores etc.

Posted by: rokchik Feb 7 2008, 08:45 PM

Anything by Andrea Bocelli especially Con Te Partiro and Ave Maria. Two of the most beautiful songs ever IMHO.

PS: Nessun Dorma is anther one I can't really relax without. Either Pavoratti or Bocelli...both are beautiful.
