Plug For A Local Band. Raised Fist, Hardcore Options

I just wanted to push for a local band (well not so local, they are pretty big within their genre), Raised Fist.

They are put into hardcore/punk/metal genre but that's not right. Raised Fist IS hardcore. They define hardcore.
I'd recommend to start with the album "Sound of the Republic" (on which there is a song named after my neighbourhood. ).

They have been touring for ages and haven't performed in their hometown, which happens to be my home town for , I don't know, maybe 5-6-7 years. They did a gig this weekend here but I couldn't see it because of a birthday party. Talk about bad timing. They really are a band to be experienced live. The energy is amazing.

To show you what they are like I'll translate a bit of the review in the local paper.

"It's extremly agressive and horribly violent but in a positive way. To see Raised Fist is like being beaten up and knocked down but without the pain... They are not satanists, they do not want to rule the darkness. They are the good side of aggression. The beauty in aggressivity. They are high on life"

Weird review, but it actually discribes them well. If you ever see them you'll understand it.

I listened to them for like 4 years ago, then I just.. Stopped. So basically, I thought they sucked for the last 4 years. However! I was on a festiwal in Gothenburg (Metaltown) this year, where thay played, and one of my friends wanted to see them. Lets just say it like this, it's the best live performance I've ever seen, and now I'm trying to get back into them. And, I definetly plan to go see them live again as soon as possible So basically, yeah, they rock

EDIT: And yeah, that quote is so true, they're pure energy for sure!
