The first 2 seconds I thought "hmmm not to good". After that I liked everything:P You have a really fitting voice for such music.

Thx. I guess my voice is a little bit rusty, since I havent performed for ten years or so, but I will record the entire series of blues songs with a real drummer as soon as I have all the material set. And there probably gonna be some changes to them then as well........ smile.gif

Awesome stuff Staffy, this tune is really great, I love the groove and everything. You vocal is awesome for blues! The ending is great! biggrin.gif

The only thing I noticed is that hihat is a bit generic.

Great job man, what did you used to record vocals?

The mix a little too treble for my taste (10khz and above) but apart from that you did a great job biggrin.gif

Thx Ivan, You have a point in that the Hi-Hat is generic, I will look into that... Anyway, this kind of music should be played with a live drummer instead to get a real "groove"....

Mmm, maybe I put a little to much energy in the treble regions in order to get the cymbals clear. Nice point ! smile.gif

I have a Röde pretty expensive tube-mic, from that i used a plug from Powercore which is dedicated for vocals, it has compressor, eq, noise gate, limiter and such, but I guess its possible to use just regular vst-plugs to achieve the same result. Then i lowered the eq around 1200 hz, since much of the "nose" sounds sit here, I added some 600 hz to get some bottom and cut all frequencies below 100..... Oh, and theres a slight doubler by delay some 250 ms in each channel.... and some plate reverb.

Very cool song! At first it was feeling a little nervous to me because of "Staccato" groove but after few verses I started to like it smile.gif Good vocals and recording!

p.s. On the other hand if bass had some longer notes in the groove against staccato short ones it would give the line more breath and smoothness and possibly it would be more interesting.

Great song overall! smile.gif
