I have a problem with my brandnew American Deluxe HSS Strat (manufactured in 2011).
She has a maple neck with a silky finish.
When I have to grip firmly e.g. When bending 1 1/2 steps the movement of the bending
And supporting fingers on the fretboard as well as my thumb on the edge / backside of the
neck produce crunchy wooden noises. Has nothing to do with frets or strings, the varnish
seems to block the friction between fingers and neck.
I already tried a product 'fast fret' but it didnt help too much...

Does anybody know about this?
Is it because the guitar is brandnew and the noise will dissappear by time?
Or does anybody know some remedies to get the finish of the neck more slippy?

Thanks Roland

Hi Kosei,

I found a nice video of yours on youtube where you reformed Schumann's Traumerei.

Could you please post this here as a lesson in GMC?

Thanks Roland

Hi Kosei,

I joint GMC originally for learning the Blues but I also found some very nice things to paractise
on my classical guitar. Thanks for this!

I don't know if there already were requests for Tarregas Capricho arabe which I believe to
be one of the most beautiful pieces of music for guitar.
I'm aware that it will be a lot of work putting this into a lesson but could you think about it?

Thanks Roland

Hi all,

not really sure to whom to adress so I do a common request.

I try to figure out the folk stuff that Arlo Guthrie plays in his song
Alices Restaurant. At least the people of 40+ should know what I'm
talking about biggrin.gif
This is over and over again the same few bars on acoustic guitar.
Can anyone help?
I found something on TAB sites but it seems to do not match exactly
(or I'm too dump to play it right) sad.gif

Any hint?

Roland
