Hi Ola! Thanks for your info. I'm really curious about your own compositions. It would really cool to base this work on polishing that stuff, in both composing and technique aspects in order to get ready to start your youtube solo career... what do you think?
Based on your info, we should design a routine that covers these topics: Warming up Alternate Picking Legato Phrasing Theory applied to soloing and composition Do you agree? -------------------- My lessons

hehehe amazing stuff mate! I love that song by Arch Enemy, maybe their fans will hate me, but it's my favorite. The guitar works reminds me to the old In Flames, but it still sounds modern. It's fantastic. And you played it very tight. Good job.
About your composition, it's very promising! It sounds like the pros. There are some little timing issues here and there but nothing very serious, just pay attention to it. The riff starting at 1:21!! ohh, I want to hear that part live on a concert. It's epic. I can say that I'm surprised of the quality of these recordings. I could confirm that your rhythm ability is very tight so now it's time to focus on soloing to take your technique to that level. As there aren't solos on your recording, I'm not sure about your level but I will suggest lessons for each topic and then you can tell me if you want to change any of them. Warming up https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Picking-Arpeggios/ Alternate Picking https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-Workout-1/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/modal_...tring_patterns/ Legato https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/legato-stamina/ Phrasing https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Set-The-Pace/ Theory applied to soloing and composition Let's start learning the minor arpeggios: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Minor-...ggios-Exercise/ If you want to learn some theory behind them, check this thread: Intervals Triads -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate, how are you?
I'm getting back from some gigs with my band in another city. I'll give you some tips and exercises for you as soon as I arrive home. About les pauls... yes, that's a disadvantage of these guitars. If you are planning to use high frets, you should check other guitars. If you Sant to gol for a similar sound you can try prs singlecut or ltd ec models. Do you know them? -------------------- My lessons

Hi again, I would like to discuss a bit more what's the problem that you find playing licks on frets 13 and 14. Is this a problem related to your guitar? What happens? The notes doesn't sound? Do you have a video to let me see you playing it?

Well, the best way to give you correct feedback about this would be to see you playing the licks. Is it possible to see a video of you playing?
It can be a problem related to the place you position your thumb and the angle of your left hand while you play but I have to see you. If this is not possible, you should at least compare your left hand position compared to Zsolt in Modal Madness lesson and tell me what differences you note... -------------------- My lessons

Yes, sometimes it's just that you need more practice. You can transpose one octave higher the exercises and licks that you've been practicing in the past to get more used to the higher positions, and maybe add this lesson to your routine:
