Hi Fusar!! Welcome to your Gab's Army thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... )

Hello Gab, this sounds like a great initiative :-)

About me: I've been making music for all my life, playing the saxophone, the piano, trying out every instrument I could find. Two years ago I started with guitar and bass guitar (where I have some band experience already), I was very motivated at the beginning (like everyone cool.gif ), but then after some time, I lost myself in my practicing, didn't do it regularly, so the consequence was that I didn't progress...I did now some voluntary work for six months, where I didn't take the guitar with me, so I start from almost the bottom again ;-)
My main aim to join your army is to have tasks and to force myself to practice regularly. Although I don't want to exaggerate. My objective is, at the beginning, to practice 4 or 5 times per week for half an hour and to see some progress.
I listen to all kinds of music, so I want to build a strong base, but then focus on the style of music I want to compose for the moment - rock, especially "brit" / indie rock, but if we have a task which touches some different style, I am pleased to do so! smile.gif
Since I didn't play for six months, I don't have any recordings, but my level for rhythm guitar - I can strum open chords and some barré chords, play some powerchords but nothing more (maybe it would be interesting to learn theoreticallywise how to form them, how to build up a chord progression for a song etc...). And solo guitar...I could play Slash's first solo in Knocking On Heaven's Door ;-)
So yes, I will repeat myself now...what I "expect" from you (although almost everything will depend on me! biggrin.gif) - give me tasks which will help me to build up a good technique base, have some interesting lessons in how to build up the chords etc for a song, and for the rest I hope I will get creative soon and start to compose whole songs :-)

Hi Fusar! Thanks for your information! We will work on those things. I would need to see you playing the lessons that I assign you to allow me give you feedback and also to know exactly which things need improvement. At first I will give you some ideas of lessons that you could work this week, record (please with video) and post here. That would be our first step to work together. Based on the style that you like and your level these are my suggestions:
