Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Stop-Time Blues Solo by Lale Nikic

This week assignment on the Ben's Bushido Tasks. I'm quite happy to have been able to learn and record this piece on a short time. It seems I'm improving, thanks to Ben (and my work, of course ;)). Hope you guys like it ! Merci :)

Hi mate! It is really cool to see you motivated! You did a very good take. Your timing is very precise. You only have to improve the expressive techniques like vibrato and bending to have a top level take. You are not comfortable yet with the bends, and some of them don't reach the correct pitch. The vibrato technique is better but it could be more consistent.

Hello there and congrats on a solid take smile.gif I agree with Gabe and I would like to add that the more you play it, try to feel the groove, as expression will derive from there as well. At this point you are having a good timing but the take is still a bit rigid.

Relaxation is the key here!

I agree with Gabe and Cosmin! You did a very good job but just try to relax sometimes it feel that you are not sure about what you are playing! I think if you will keep working on this lesson a little longer it will sound perfect in no time! wink.gif
