Hi Laurent! Interesting audios! Your playing is very tasty on both. I feel that the second one has a clearer rhythm motif that is developed and it makes it cooler to follow.
Have you read my comment about structure? I think that you could apply it to your improvisation. Taking the second take motif and polishing the overall structure. I recommend you to share here improvisations of around 2 minutes and build some kind of structure. -------------------- My lessons

Hi Gabriel thanks for listening you talk about moving my shapes around the neck ? Laurent Not exactly. I talk about creating different sections in your improvisation. A first part were you introduce and develop your leit motif, a second part where you go more "flashy" and an outro where you get back to the first motif. -------------------- My lessons

It's good to always be alert to those moments when creativity happens. It usually happens when we are totally relax so it's normal that this happened to you during the night while trying to sleep.

Hello guys! For those that think that this assignments are a bit advanced, I recommend to give a try to this new workout: LINK
However here I'm sending assignment II which is based on doing a similar work than Assignment I but this time with Pentatonic Major Scale. ASSIGNMENT II: In this second assignment we will get into the #Week2 concepts. These are the guidelines for this first assignment: 1. Watch again the video with explanations (if you don't remember it) 2. Choose a major backing track from our lesson archive. HERE you'll find some suggestions: 3. Practice the scale shapes, sequences and arpeggios over the backing if you need it. 4. Improvise. 5. Record yourself and share your audio or videos here. Deadline: January 26th (20 days.) As I've suggested on the first assignment, it would be great if you have in mind these concepts when working on this assignment: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Your-First-Phrases/ Who is in? -------------------- My lessons

Will be in here too and divide the time between both workouts. As there is a longer deadline this should be okay.
Lets find a backing track right now... |

Hi Gab,
Looks like my practice schedule is a little long right now...just started today with this workout. Tried to implement what I learned at Applied Music Theory workshop and what you said about treating the guitar like a voice. That I am sometime somewhat off beat was intended Thought the backing was a few bars longer... https://soundcloud.com/user619267345/icl2 |

Good first step mate. I think that your phrasing is melodic and tasty here. I also think that you could get more inspiration by the original lesson and how Andre combines different rhythms, how he articulate notes, and also how he uses dynamics, vibrato and other techniques to make his phrasing sound so unique.
