An Ode to one of the rock masterpiece of the 90's Billy Corgan's The Smashing Pumpkins. As you may have known me, Im mostly into metal and stuff but once in a good while, I put out some of the greatness of grunge rock in the 90's like Dinosaur Jr, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam (those are actually the only grunge I listen to). But anyway, Corgan is an underrated guitarist, song writer, and singer imho because he writes such amazing peice of music. Comming from there 1st album Gish, songs like Rhinocerus, Siva, and I Am One, are just pure masterpiece. Corgan is also a very studio oriented musician because he pretty much do all the stuff in Pumpkins, like main guitar, backing, bass, and drums. The rest of the band just have to learn the song that Corgan wrote down. Anyone in here like The Pumpkins aside from me?

yes ! I like their music. I could say that I like so many music styles. I think that the Pumpkin's music is very original and Corgan voice and melodies are very nice. I like Siamese Dream and Mellon Colie.

cool, gabriel you like em too. I thought your all about shredding since most of the stuff you post are from malmsteen and petrucci. Did not expect that from you at all. But yea Corgan is also a great guitarist. Although he doesnt write solos like Gilbert, Vai, or Satch for that matter, he can still put out a great solo in a song no problem. I was in my grunge moods yesterday and Listend to Siamese Dreams and Melon Colie and the Infinite Sadness. I like Mayonaise and tonight tonight, those songs were on rotation for the past 24 hrs.
