A fine pull with Mattias smile.gif So many folks here in the States seem to have no idea who he is but I personally thing he's freaking amazing. Not to mention he is a fellow Guitar Instructor! And runs a yearly Guitar Camp in Sweden! What a guy.

Mike Akerfeldt, simply because he does new things with old techniques. His guitar playing itself isn't really innovative, but the way he applies it to song writing definitely is. True they did form sometime in the 90's, but they came into the spotlight in the last decade wink.gif

Hmm... A question like this is a wonderfully slippery thing to nail down biggrin.gif , but in my opinion I would have to say Mr. Guthrie Govan! biggrin.gif

I don't know, but the there is an overwhelming majority of votes for Guthrie. I was gonna say Steve Vai. I don't follow music that much.
