Sure man. Going to a meeting now, but when I get home, and if wife isn't too crazy (she's always a little crazy.) we'll share some licks!

Congrats for your playing man! Your vibrato sounds great and the fast licks are played perfect. I like the mix of bluesy licks with some shreding. Your tone is also very good. The onlñy thing that doesn't convince me is the last note that you play. It seams like if the solo doesn't resolve.

BTW you are a really good player! smile.gif

The accuracy is good, the timing is good, the transition between licks could be a little better. I think that the sliding down the neck gets a little too repetive. Also, every phrase except the sweep picking arpeggio starts on the first beat. I dislike that because it sounds like your hopping between exercises, I recommend you to listen to Jeff Beck a little.

But all in all it was a good solo.

The backing doesn't resolve, actually. If you listen closely, you'll hear that the backing fades out. Maybe I should fade the guitar more also?

Either way, thanks alot for the nice words!

Nice job man! I like the definition in your AP lick towards the end, however at the end of the piece that last bend wasn't really on pitch. Something wasn't right there for me but that might just be my ear laugh.gif biggrin.gif

Great job, I really liked it! smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Very tasteful, good tone, and excellent playing. Your phrasing was very nice as well.
Good luck!

I'm glad that you found my advice helpful. I wish you the best of luck in this competition.

-EDIT- One more thing kjutte. You're not a lefty are you? Because the video makes it look like that. You need to specify that so that when you win the guitar, you won't win a lefty version tongue.gif

Thanks man. It's in pitch, but doesn't resolve to rootnote. The reason is that the backing doesn't resolve, but I didn't realize it was this obvious. I guess I will reshoot it, eventually!
