Great playing! I did notice you are avoiding using your pinky quite a bit. Although you do use it in some sections. I'd suggest trying to work in the pinky as much as you can. I sometimes skip the pinky mselft beyond the 12th fret, but it's good to be able to play with it as well as without it.

Thank you for the advice Todd! smile.gif I actually do use my pinky in my every day playing but when I play faster licks I tend to not use it. I am working on that, it's been a habit of mine since I started. Thank you for the comment and advice!

So what can I say? The playing was super-accurate, tone was killing and there was some serious shred! smile.gif
But personally I wouldn't go buy a Halo guitar or DiMarzio pickups since neither the composition or playing tells
me something. It's shred but not music in my ears.

Thanks for the comment! This video is not a song it is just to show how the tone of the guitar combined with my choice of pickups sounds. This isn't to make people go out and buy one, it's just for them to check out the companies. I am not saying "ok I played shred on this now go and buy the guitar and pickups!". No. But I see you thought it was a professional promo and wanted me to play a song and maybe show features.

Thanks for your interesting opinion, everyone else seemed to enjoy it but everyone has there opinion.

Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But it looked a little bit like some sort of promo to me.

What I dont understand about all these demos/promos around is why a decent song can't be used?
The manufactorers is spending millions of $ to develop a product and ends up with a demo/promo that
sounds like everything else beeing played. Why cant they take some of the money and hire a professional
songwriter and make the players play something that fits the song?

Nobody eats a steak without garnments and spiceys, so why should we listen to guitar-solos out of context?
Just my 2 cents.

//Staffay

Ps. And I didn't criticise the playing, just the fact that since its not a song and I cant relate the solo to nothing,
its kinda pointless to me in a musical context. But the playing/technique was great. Ds.

Hi Staffy, I won't fight with you but I just want to say I am 15 years old, Halo nor DiMarzio asked me to do this and this was not supposed to be some kind of professional video shoot demo. If it was I would of had many lights and camera angles and it would have been longer. It is a promo but a promo that I slapped up for my YouTube subscribers and friends to see what I use and how I play. Not a company plug video. Once again, this is not a song it is just an improvisation on the backing track. So there is no need to hire a songwriter and teach me something just so I can have fun and play guitar in my video.

And sometimes people prefer steak plane with nothing on the side, so maybe that's why someone should listen to an improvised live guitar solo I did in one take.

Thanks for your opinion but you seem to think I am a professional working for a company which I am not.

Eric
