My favourite version of cliffs is the live in austin texas, it's amazing. He plays a strat for that one and the tone he gets out of it is incredible.

335's are probably the most versatile guitar but seem a bit under-used these days, Gary Moore uses one on his new album and it sounds awesome.

Pretty cool fact, although am i right in saying most of your guitar sound is from the amp, the guitar only makes up a little bit of it and even then you can fit your amps sound around the guitar (more high or low if needed)
