Yeh the fernandes sustainer
http://www.fernandesguitars.com/sustainer.html

i think its a pickup aswell..

those on the modboards website kinda look cheap and may require some major DIY to your guitar ohmy.gif when you could just buy better effects externaly in pedal form.

The sustainer is a completely different animal than what these guys represent there product to be. I agree, does look cheap, will require some work, and probably MIC.

They claim you can wire in 3 different effects all operating off of 1 9v battery (.35MA- even maxed out you never exceed 18ma)

In this case, you could have on board delay, chorus, reverb, etc... Here is a better description..

I suppose the only manufacturer that springs to mind would be Gibson with its Dark Fire, although its not really onboard effects as such but it does have selectable tones.
Have you seen the Ovation Idea? its an acoustic with built in mp3 player and recorder that you can remove, pretty nifty!

I've never seen that kind of effects but I've seen like a Kaos Pad on a guitar

From the 2:50 the guitar solo is made with the pad.
