Hey Muris.

I've enjoyed learning this lesson, but as with my take on your extreme neo-lesson, it needs heavy adjustments. smile.gif
There are alot of mistakes in it, technically speaking, but I can't make another take today, because I have an agreement with my neighbour about noise. tongue.gif

Recorded the 80bpm version, both with and without backing, cuz I like to push myself, as you may remember. wink.gif

Hope you'll like it...smile.gif

Ps
(Maybe tomorrow I'll do another take with video as well smile.gif )

I thought it sounded pretty good Seagull. I think if you slow it down and work on it at 60 and 70 for a little while and then speed it back up you will have it. The biggest issues I heard were timing issues. How did you attack practicing this if I might ask? Did you break it into a bunch of separate licks or just try and play it all the way through at slower tempos?

Monte

Well the timing issues are because it's quite a mouthful, this lesson, and when I've finished a demanding lick, I tend to be a slight bit confused. tongue.gif Guess it will come once I've played the lesson a lot more.

The way I practiced it was to learn the full song, play it through till it sounded decent. But lately I've begun to work on the licks more seperately, as I think that would benefit my playing a lot. smile.gif

I think you would benefit by breaking it up into 8-10 licks and playing those separately and then maybe like the last portion of your practice session work on playing it all the way through at the different tempos. Just my 2 cents. biggrin.gif You are right though, it is quite a mouthfull laugh.gif laugh.gif Good job!!

Sorry I just realized this is Muris board, I always look at the "view new posts" and never pay attention as to what forum they are in. I will be quiet and let the man himself give you his advice. Sorry Muris. ohmy.gif

Nice take!!

And I agree with Monte on this one,
you should try a bit slower cause of
the few faster licks you are struggling with.
Then play them separately very slow
and up the tempo one step at the time.
Good work, keep me update and do a video of course! smile.gif

Thanks!

Well, that's the thing I'm working on too at the moment, practicing things slower and then raising the tempo. But I'm very impatient, so I guess I'm the only one fooled. laugh.gif
I will work more on this, it's so much fun to play. smile.gif

I agree, this is one of my favorite lessons. You almost have it seagull, just some more time in the slower tempos and then slowly increase it. Again, nice take. smile.gif
