Transcend ImpermanenceI, The Immortal
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Century, In waiting
Train the body, Perfect the mind
Through the gauntlet of life
Transcend my Impermanence
Hand in blood
Crimson sacrifice
Closer to the gods
Closer to the end of my life
Immortal I shall become
Ephemeral life of human
Slowly and surely
Shall be undone
A ripple of energy
Coasting through my mind
Closing in on perfection
The original eternal life
ChorusI, The Immortal
Achieved through century of battles
Mediate to the perfect state, Of mind
I, The Immortal
Shall Transcend Impermanence
Leave my body, withered shell behind
Imperfect condition
Transitory holocaust
No hope of rebirth
Ascend above the modern thought
Listen Closely
To the sound of the earth
She weeps for me
and her tears beget my birth
Abandon materialism
Release the urge
To the fabric of the cosmos
Become the first, The Archetype
Death has graced me
And my shell releases my mind
Perfection, Above the physical form
Immortal, Everlasting life
ChorusI, The Immortal
Achieved through century of battles
Mediate to the perfect state, Of mind
I, The Immortal
Shall Transcend Impermanence
Leave my body, withered shell behind

An idea I got while staring at the album art for Meshuggah's "Obzen". Short set of lyrics about a man, who spends his whole 100 year life achieving physical and mental perfection, For when the time comes of his death, he will transcend life, become immortal and live forever not in a physical form, but in a totally different form, A wandering entity, ghost even.
