A really useful Etude but I'll not get it up to speed anywhere in the next 5 years! Still really useful though -------------------- My SoundCloud

I've done this lesson for the recent tapping challenge : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/thabus...xtreme_tapping/ . I haven't submitted it for REC however because I hadn't practiced it sufficiently and wanted to improve before submitting. But I haven't practiced it since then and don't know if I'll be able to play it even at that level . Here's the video:
I've also been practicing this lesson for quite a while : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...soloing-lesson/ . |

I haven't done anything higher than 7. I'm more of a rhyth guitarist than a lead guitarist so maybe you could do a rhythm lesson that is level 8 and I could have a go at it -------------------- When your fingers bleed you're getting somewhere

Most of the lessons I learn are between 5-7. I might try something in the 8 level range for the next one and lock myself in the guitar room for awhile. -------------------- |

I'll be gleaning what I can from Ben's latest Paul Gilbert lesson. But as with lessons of this difficulty at my stage of speed, it won't be with a view of learning to play it perfectly, just to learn from it what I can at my present level

I've done this lesson for the recent tapping challenge : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/thabus...xtreme_tapping/ . I haven't submitted it for REC however because I hadn't practiced it sufficiently and wanted to improve before submitting. Here's the video: I've also been practicing this lesson for quite a while : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...soloing-lesson/ . If I could do what you just did, I would be able to retire and say - I've met all my goals. At my rate, if arthritis doesn't get me first, I may have that by the time I'm 120 or so. The highest level I've worked on is 6 - and I really should go back and continue with it. It was more difficult for me because I was using a baritone guitar, because that was what Cosmin was using, I may have a bit more success utilizing my drop tune pedal, but the speed of the changes met with immediate bends, was what ultimately frustrated me to go back to level 2. In all honesty, I have not been practicing the lessons recently, though I know I should, but will eventually. Recently I've been more dedicated to working on my own stuff and attempting to define a style for myself - I know, I'm putting the cart before the horse; but I have to do the things that make it most enjoyable for me in order to stay motivated to continue to progress. Plus, I have this strange disease that when I hit the record button, my fingers do everything except what they're supposed to do. I think what it is, is that I am more forgiving of myself when not recording, but when recording I want perfection, and when I think about it, I have NEVER played anything perfectly in my entire life, so perfection is not really even a goal of mine. I tried a few of Muris' lessons in the past, as for me these sort of things are good technique builders - got close to 95% of Mojo Oro 1 and 2 and about the same with this one - https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-legato-lesson/
I was practicing these last year and I had to move on to playing guitar and vocals as it is more important for what my goals as a musician right now - but, these were really fun to play nonetheless. |
