Bending & Vibrato Video Chat

WHEN? Today Wednesday, countdown http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcounter.html?day=16&month=09&year=2009&hour=20&min=00&sec=00&p0=239. Edit - this chat is now finished, thanks everybody for joining!

WHY? To show you the easiest way to sound like a pro without being one: bending & vibrato

WHERE?
In the http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/chat/.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL? Complete beginner.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED? You need to be able to play one note on the guitar - if you can play one note you qualify for this video chat wink.gif You will not be required to know any scales or techniques - we will take it from the very start and show you where and how to place your finger on the fretboard - and then we will attempt to bend the string and add vibrato to it.

INSTRUCTOR? Kristofer Dahl (me wink.gif )

OTHER COMMENTS Intermediate and advanced students are more than welcome as well - we will have a good time in the chat and you might pick up one or two things too!

This was an intense and cool session - we had a lot of spontaneous discussions and questions going on - and we also covered quite some ground on the bending/vibrato topic. Thanks everybody for joining! biggrin.gif

I am sure you guys had a blast and learned a lot from Kristofer.

Is there any way we could see a replay or rerun of those video chats? That would be super cool smile.gif

Posted by: Bogdan Radovic Sep 16 2009, 10:41 PM

Oh I missed this sad.gif

Pedja's idea is cool, maybe there could be a rerun or something...if the video chats are recorded... smile.gif

Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Sep 17 2009, 08:36 AM

We don't have a good way of presenting the recorded video files.

Also I feel that the video file is not a good representation of the chat - the cool thing about the chat is the fact that it's live and that the questions/interaction of the students that dictates the direction and content.

One solution would be to edit in the questions in the video file and then publish it. Still I think it would be cooler to just repeat the chat with the same theme - when/if there is an interest. Of course instructors are very welcome to participate as well (you should! to better prepare your own video chats)

dang.. missed it also.. :S

and no replay.. it would be awesome to have a replay, and not being "forced" to reschedule whatever it is that you do to be able to attend..

I am also thinking about our american friends and others who are in very different time zones..

Posted by: Pedja Simovic Sep 17 2009, 01:20 PM

Sounds great Kristofer! I will make sure to attend your next video chat. For the one last night I didn't want to interfere so I exited on purpose. Good to know we are encouraged to attend those wink.gif

Too bad there's not a video playback of the video chat session. I would've like to seen that. I think it would come in handy for those of us in different time zones or that work hectic schedules.

Oh god I can't believe it....... Kris took time to teach many things and I wasn't there (in fact I was there but my stupid internet provider decided to have troubles with connection... (Maybe you know that "France Telecom" (a french provider of phone line) has member who are commiting suicides.. whatever))

I'm so sad sad.gif
Hope you'll do this soon Kris !
