I'm no expert but you already have a Les Paul, and that custom had the headstock damaged... I'd go PRS. Just my 2 cents.

Did you play both guitars? If you did, which one felt better, sounded better, looked better? Thats the one that you should buy. If I had the choice I would for sure pick the Les Paul, I am just addicted to them wink.gif And about the neck damage, if it was fixed properly this is no problem at all, one of my Customs also had a broken neck, it was fixed and I am still using this guitar without any problems.

That's like having a choice of having your arms blown off or your legs biggrin.gif If I was forced and told i'd lose my life if I didn't answer I'd go for the PRS tongue.gif Just because I wouldn't be seen dead with a Les Paul smile.gif

Well, it is definitely best to see what guitar suits you better, both playabillity and sound wise. I would give a slight advantage to PRS, because it is not been damaged, but that's IMO.

This is the modern "Sophies Choice" tongue.gif

I'd go for the Les Paul, but I'm a sucker for those.. But then again, I can't say I know much about PRS guitars..
In the end it's all a matter of opinion, I guess..

How is the Les Paul damaged? When you say the neck do you mean there is a dent on it or has the head stock broke off previously? If the headstock broke off I'd steer veryyyyyyyy clear of it.

You already have a Gibson Les Paul and this one is also broken and repaired so it will:

1. Sound diffrent(mustn't be worse than before, but it changed it's sound) even if it was fixed perfectly
2. Will not bring as much as a normal one when reselling
3. You'll get tired of it sooner as it's just another version of your old Les Paul

...So go for the PRS is the logical thing to do

BUT

in the end it comes down to which one you liked better after you played them both

I think PRS is really a safe bet...Also that Gibson can be cool too (don't like the damage story though)...But all guitars sound different so if you can , try them out to hear for yourself...
