Is there a big difference between guitar and bass compressors? And if so, what differs?
The reason I ask is that I have a Ibanez BP10 stomper that I don't use much at the moment, and I've been thinking about adding a compressor to my pedalboard (for guitar). The BP10 has three knobs, for Attack, Sustain and Level. Could I use that one with good result or should I look for something made specifically for guitars? I use my pedal baord mainly for gigs and rehersals.
yes its different by frequencies
Thank you for the quick answer.
I was afraid that would be the case...
Anyway, any recommendations for a good compressor?
keeley or boss seem to be popular brands for compressors....look into them
A cheap and (what i think) was a good one was the DOD Milkbox. I liked it better than the BOSS compressors
Boss Compression SUstainer is a good way to go imo.
BlackFinger by electro harmonics
The boss is allright. But as far as I've heard the Keeley should be absolutely superb!
I like this one. http://www.visualsound.net/v2comp66.htm
Thank you all. lots of options here.
I'll be looking in too these and see which one I like best.
