You're right...
But if it were harder to get a gun in the first place, maybe his mother wouldn't have had a gun to steal? But it's a difficult question. I understand people voting for their right to carry a gun to protect themselves, but looking at the whole picture I believe it would be fewer shootings with more restrictions. Harder to get hold of a gun is one thing, another is that children don't learn to handle guns at an early age.
Of course... Guns are very convinient for these kind of lunatics though. This guy in China would probably not have gotten that far in a US school with the security there?
Here in Sweden we never had a mass murder like this, altough it's probably just a question of time. Our neighbours Finland had two, and they have the most liberal gun laws in northern europe. Then again, the exception to the rule is worst of them all. Anders Behring Breivik in Norway, also a neighbour country...
as far as hypothetical s- there futile, so I cant respond to something that cant be proven one way or the other,
but you can take the spoon from the fat person yet you haven't solved the problem
in the same way we want to take the guns away without addressing the problem
we glorify gangs and gang violence
we glorify movie stars killing in their movies
we raise our children not to respect anyone else but to seek their own selfish needs
and teach them to shoot to kill in games
what do you expect ?
