> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Ben's Vibrato Odyssey 1 by Ben Higgins

This is the first video that I've recorded through webcam. I usually make a track and then make a video to go with it but recording on garageband wouldn't hold onto the sustain. Thanks for watching and grading!

Howdy Trey!

Good take mate - as we have discussed, sustaining the notes maybe just a little more, by vibrating a bit stronger would've been even better, but I think you have nailed the take and it looks like your vibrato is improving! BTW .....'OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD' Nice T-shirt biggrin.gif

Really good, Trey. You've got the essence of this technique. Now just working on it and making it stronger, getting more of a vibrato effect out of the notes.. try getting it faster so then you can go between slow and faster vibratos at will smile.gif

Remember to keep your other fingers on the fretboard when using your little finger too. You remembered the second time so all good wink.gif

Hi mate! Well done! You are on the right track with this type of vibrato! Now it's time to continue working on it to make it sound stronger and faster. Check how Ben's vibrato goes with the groove. Keep on the good job!
