Does anyone know where I can get various chord drones to practice over- For example a m7b5 chord so I can work on melodic minor?

Thanks

Sorry, no idea.

However, you could record a chord or progression and loop it in your DAW?

Check the Band-in-the-box software, it's great for generating quick backings with various chords and styles. Not perfect, but OK for some practice sessions.

you can always use the loop feature in your preferred DAW. I use Logic now and it just takes two clicks to loop somthing
