There are many poetic lyrics here on the GMC forum which is beautiful and meaningful. However, I've decide to keep it to the point with my lyrics. I prefer writing straightforward songs because it's more involving of the reader or listener by telling the tale. This allows for a message to be sharp and bold, thus allowing one main messgae to come across than a spectrum of feelings and messages which may come from a more poetic approach. These lyrics are about people who have been neglected and jeered at all their life and now even when they say sorry for all the trouble, it's too late because the damage has been done.

I'm trembling
My concsiousness is falling
Another path, another dip into the waters that...
Keep me from going insane
Yet with this I only ever land the blame
On those hypocrites who told me it'd be better
Though I'm in too deep for a quick fix to pull me out
All those who said I would be OK
Just wait 'cos now

I'M 12 SECONDS FROM OBLIVION!
DON'T TRY AND STOP ME NOW, THERE'S NO WAY OUT!
I'M 12 SECONDS FROM OBLIVION!
DON'T THINK THIS IS A JOKE!
TAKE MY LIFE 'COS NOW IT'S BEEN REVOKED!

Alcohol, violence is what gets me through the day
I've always thought that this was the only way
The travelling sages offer me advice
Yet it backfires once again, like I expected better
The more time I'm here, the more I get sadder
Apathy, all thanks to the hypocracy
My friends even my family
They thought that I was nothing to them
And now the same thought is all I have right now

I'M 12 SECONDS FROM OBLIVION!
DON'T TRY AND STOP ME NOW, THERE'S NO WAY OUT!
I'M 12 SECONDS FROM OBLIVION!
DON'T THINK THIS IS A JOKE!
TAKE MY LIFE 'COS NOW IT'S BEEN REVOKED!

Though they all come forward to lend their apologies
Like that'll work after all that I've been through
Though they all say they're sorry
I say sorry to you, after all I've been through

SOLO

OUTRO

How did it come to this?
The last drop of life is dripping out of me
The pain now I succomb and there I'm in oblivion.
