... with iTunes on shuffle....

so far I've been taken on a journey with Journey, through some very cheesy, yet gulity pleasure, 80's music ( Everybody taking a chance... with a Safety Dance smile.gif ) people have screamed at me, one even growled... not sure how that got on there... and I've learned that parents just don't understand, but I've also heard some wonderful gems that I haven't heard in a while...

One of the best intros ever IMHO... also love the "Creep" inspiring "Air that I Breathe" The Hollies were just fantastic!

I'm not the biggest CS&N fan but I love this song. Some amazing harmonies... just a classic!

My fave Zeppelin tune smile.gif and the song that if I ever learn to play I can die a happy woman smile.gif my foot can't stop tapping whenever it comes on, which right now is bad cause it's BROKE!! Better start tapping the other tongue.gif Like someone said "Thank God Jimmy Page never went into Biology research"

So just thought I'd share as kind of bored really and can't move around much... and just in case you are wondering nothing interesting with the foot, just a stress fracture that is more annoying than anything. No hard cast yet, just a walking one unless it gets worse.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far smile.gif

rok

EDIT: I really need to learn how to spell wink.gif

Sorry to hear about the leg sad.gif I with you a fast recovery...

Thanks for sharing this songs, I love the rocking guitar in the first one - it reminds me of the song One After 909 by the Beatles (but Anthology/unreleased version)...That riff defined rock n roll and its so powerful! smile.gif

Hope you recover soon Rok.

Your soundtrack kind of reminds me of my daughter's current fascination with Glee. She keeps saying how good a song is that they cover and I keep telling her to go and listen to the original (usually Journey/Boston etc) cool.gif:-)

Yeah... too bad it wasn't a "Hot Tub Time Machine" type hit... could have been fun, even though I wasn't born when those songs were popular smile.gif

And Tony my biggest guilty pleasure right now is Glee!!! Yes I freely admit I'm a Gleek smile.gif I drive my boyfriend, and the doggies, nuts as I can't not sing during the show. Jane Lynch is just brilliant and you can't beat the song choices... most nights anyways. And yes keep telling her to listen to the originals, I'm doing the same with my niece and nephew. I love how the show is showing the newer generation some great music that that they may have never been exposed to otherwise.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. The foot is doing OK... and I'm just as surprised only my foot broke due to stress tongue.gif

Today my Mom was filling the birdbath with water from the ice chest. The ice chest was heavier than she thought and the weight of the water made the top of the cement birdbath come down on her big toe! It didn't break, but it busted open. With the help of some homecare, she is laying back on the couch with her toe wrapped gauze. Fortunately she has a high-tolerance for pain, she says.
