two new lesson to add to the recent growing number of SI lessons appearing on the boards recently smile.gif

First lesson by Matt23 called "Four Bar Phrasing - Composition"

This is a composition/writing technique lesson that Matt has worked very hard on, phrasing is a difficult subject to address in this format but I think how he has presented this is great and should help some of us when trying to come up with writing ideas for our songs smile.gif

Everyone can check out Matts lesson HERE

Matts attitude whilst preparing this was nothing short of outstanding! taking any pointers as direction and not personal critisism, a first class guy and hope he makes some more for us in the future too! smile.gif

Second Lesson by Opeth.db called "Shaping up"

Very proud to announce this one from Dan, this lesson is the result of an MTP assignment that I put out to the guys last week, although all nervous they all took on board the challenge of producing a lesson on any subject they wanted on the SI Board.
One of my reasonings to getting them to do this exercise was to really make them focus on a particular aspect of their playing that they are working on at the moment, from my own experience of doing some lessons, once I have a subject I spend a lot of time purely practicing that technique or scale/solo that I`m wishing to show, I come out the other end a better player, as I may ave been tempted to wander off into something else as well during that period.

Dan is not new to the guitar but new to soloing and he is busy learning scales and shapes and trying to put those into improvisation, so he chose to do a lesson on how he memorised the minor scale using 5 basic patterns smile.gif

Go check out Dans lesson HERE

Great effort Dan and I`m pleased with what you produced, well done!! biggrin.gif
