Hahhaha one of the coolest GMC funnies ever! wink.gif

I think there is so much true stuff here and that is is a very interesting topic.
Internet has really made it possible to get some quality exposure and everyone gets an equal chance too. I mean by looking at it - if you get 1 million of views on youtube that is more than amazing and exposure is equivalent to playing dozens of full packed stadium concerts right? Everyone gets to hear your music.

When playing local clubs etc - it is often hard to gather even 150 people to hear your music. Of course - those are two very different dimensions but Youtube did a really wonderful thing for a lot of artists that would probably get stuck in their local environment for one reason or another even though they are extremely talented.

yeah, this is so true and makes this era so amazing. On the other side, my band did his biggest jump in 10 years when we played for the first time in a medium stadium in front of 8000 persons who liked our style of music. So both things are still powerful, new and old school methods.

Ha ha! That's great. I'm flattered. Thanks Jason!
I probably would have been playing the Tele though wink.gif

*And to sort of continue the conversation - I don't think one supplants the other. You gotta do both now (play in a band and write a novel ... bah dump, I'm here all week). Seriously though I think it's cool that 10,000 folks like a particular 'solo guitar' video that I did but playing in front of 150 people at a smallish club is still way more fun, satisfying and real - for me. And for the audience too. I'm sure some of them come to the gig because of the video - that's awesome! That's your 'press' these days. You gotta do your leg work.
