Changing Pickups?, help!

hi! I want to change my guitar pickups.. I have an Ibanez s620exqm, it comes with 2 "designed by emg" pickups.. but I really don't think they are so good, they're passive and the sound is not as "metal" or powerful as I would like to.
I've think'd of putting my guitar the emg 81/85 configuration.. but does anyone has another good pickup idea, experience?? maybe some seymor duncan or something, I don't know much of this and I love to play metal (power, thrash, death etc.)
