Hey all, I have been playing guitar off and on for only about 2 years so I'm still pretty much a beginner. This September I went to Las Vegas and saw Guns and Roses play at the Joint. After seeing the great guitar players in that band, especially Ron Thal who was incredible on stage, it sparked me to pick up the guitar and get serious. I'm also a huge fan of Slash. After seeing the Vegas show I said if I'm really going to get serious I need a guitar I want to play so I went and purchased a Epiphone Les Paul Custom that has the flame top. It's a beauty and now I need to do it justice.
I live in Oregon, which is a beautiful state in the Pacific Northwest.
I joined GMC about a week ago and have found it to be very helpful in my learning. Without it I was just learning parts of this and that but now I have a direction and working on my scales.
