GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Metal Core Explained...

I admit, I watched the whole thing, and laughed - the kid nails it.

That said - I love metal corp, except for the typical "look" which always comes across as gratuitous and lame.

Dis deeply offends me, cos I know not of dark satire comedy!
Doesn't JB follow that same dress code?

I found this on the other hand to be extremely humorous... HAHA

No doubt Bleez - I thought he was a joke at first but the the kid can peal the fretboard off. What I love about him is that he's so young, along with his ability, and making a complete mockery of the social aspect of rock and roll.

Like here where I live, the lamest thing in the world is the local band scene - sure, there are some really good bands, but the walking around on a cloud with fake sincerity - feeling as if the world owes them something - "we're back in the studio" aspect is nauseating.

There seems to be quite a bit in the "core" scene that's both gratuitous and lame. Such is the case with many "scenes" though smile.gif This vid pretty much nails it cold!!

Agreed Todd. I should clarify, the local band scene in general from my personal experience. I've always tried to wear my emotions on my sleeve, be a genuine person, and when on stage, be an approachable idiot - i just can't stand the idea of local people acting like they need security and wearing the "badge" of nonconformity, which is conformed explicitly to the genre.

But that's me - I'm old now, I guess I probably thought it was cool when I was in my 20s, but now, it's ridiculous.

Toats smile.gif the lad's playing is really impressive. If I can ever get my ass to that sort of level I'll be more than ecstatic!
He cracked me up when he sagged his trousers and said "oooh society aint gonna like this" LOL!

I've finally seen the light.

This cracks me up as well.

haha cool videos. He is a very creative and talented guy and I was impressed by the quality of that song in which he does a metalcore parody.
