GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Board Time

My board time seems to be running 16 hours and 20 minutes late. I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it, so is this just happening to me?

Same here... 16h20min... or whatever. It's quite a bit wrong.

You can add or subtract whole hours (not minutes) in the 'my controls' bit at the top of the screen guys. I'd imagine that Henrik or Kris would need to adjust the minutes globally though as the master time will presumably be off their server clock.

Its based on Swedish time I believe - it never makes any sense to me ...

I had to do it a few times before it decided to stay at the right time (well out by 20 mins at the mo...) as well Botofox.

I don't know if its possible to set it globally for all of us even with the two server locations US and Europe (?): even if everyone in Europe got clock times from the Europe server there would still be issues between GMT, CET and so on. If each server could be sorted for local time zones that would still leave the Pacific and Australasian end . (Not to mention anyone who doesn't set their pc clock anyway )

Maybe the IT people know better?

I noticed this also and was unsure if it was European time or not. No matter time is the only thing I have plenty of on weekends

I notice it, I also notice that time is correct in chat I am not too fussed about it though, what difference will it make knowing what time someone posted?

Well like mentioned, you can have it to be 20 minutes out if you adjust your board settings

NTP is Network Time Protocol, servers often use it to keep their time in sync with accurate time sources on the internet.
