I'm torn between two

Skynyrd's - Free Bird extended version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsWz-Q7JYQA

and

Blue Öyster Cult - Don't fear the reaper. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwwt0AYnXK4
For copyright reasons I am not posting clips or files but rather youtube links smile.gif

at this moment its led zeppelin - since i've been loving you
http://video.google.nl/videoplay?docid=425...been+loving+you
it just had something amazing, the solo, but also the chord progression that comes in after a while
as all time favourites i'd have to say any jimi hendrix, i just never can get enough of that, things that sound out of this world like third stone from the sun

others mentioned are also really great

That version is on my ipod playist for working out at the gym. Much better than the original from Genesis circa 1986.

I don't really have any favourite song, I've been in love with Not Unlike The Waves by Agalloch for a few months now..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYMaIzFq1Iw

(It's only half the song in the video though, wich is incredibly annoying)

As I have yet to see a Dead fan on this site anywhere, this is sure to get some interesting reactions, but.....lately I can't get enough of Help on the Way/Slipknot/Franklin's Tower from The Grateful Dead's One From the Vault. I love Garcia's guitar playing. Sure, he does some noodling in his improvs...but I like hearing him search for the sound he hears in his head, and enjoy it almost as much as he does when he finds it. biggrin.gif

I enjoy Rammstein but I think their cover of Depeche Mode's " Stripped " is their best song.

My all time favorite song is "1979" by Smashing Pumpkins.

i know, it's not very guitar driven, but the song is very emotional for me all the same.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=fZ2osNmKvNc

my favorite song as of late has been "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer. it's also a semi-pop song, but this song has some fun (not difficult, but easy listening) guitar work, and an awesome sounding (again, not difficult, but good phrasing or whatever) solo.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=YU7LZts87Zg

watch them if you're bored one day, and lemme know what you think.

What did you learn tonight?
while shouting so loud, you barely joyous, broken thing.
You are a voice that never sings, is what i say.
You are freezing over hell
You are bringing on that end you do so well
and you can only blame yourself, is what is say.

Hell yeah, good song though I can't choose a favorite. They all are great in their own way... I learned this song a while ago the solo has a lot of feel to it along with many of Jimmy's solos...I should post some recording if I get the chance just to see how it sounds.
