Hi Marcus, just got my membership here on GMC, and wow, it's a fantastic site with lots of great instructors! biggrin.gif
I did find your lessons very interesting and I love your compositions, so I started learning the Three-Level-Neoclassical Solo. I recorded my cover of it today, and I want to hear what you think about it. smile.gif
Btw, I've played guitar for about 7 months now. smile.gif

And last, is it possible to get the mp3-file of the backing track?
Thanks smile.gif

My take:

Its a great take !!

Watch out a bit on the long note (0:14). Marcus applies a really wide vibrato, but he still keeps the center of the note clear. This note sound a bit out of tune .. i'm sure you can fix this easily. I like the legato part at 0:17 .. smile.gif

sorry to jump in ... your upload has been here for a while.

I must have missed this thread! I'm really sorry about that Fredrik.
Thank you wrk for bumping it! smile.gif

Wow! Considering you've only been playing for 7 months - this is a very good take! It's great to hear that you play with vibrato, and you do it pretty well already. Your over all playing sounds clean and nice, and you don't miss one single note. Great job!

Here are some things I think you need to work on.
the bends - they don't sound very controlled. I think you need to work up the strength in your fingers, so if you got a Gripmaster (or similar) you could work on that a few minutes every day. And try to relax and listen carefully when you do bends.

The timing - Even though to hit all the notes, many of them are a bit off in the timing. To solve this you can work with a metronome at slow and comfortable speed, and then increase it bit by bit.

Thanks for your kind words smile.gif
I will now practice a lot on my bends and my timing, I know I am very bad to get my bends to the right pitch, but I am working on it wink.gif

And btw, maybe I will upload the Intermediate version when I nail it at 120 bpm biggrin.gif
