Don't learn only from videos and tabs. Try to find chord progressions and simple melodies with your ear as well.

Thats one of the best advices there is.
Always relying on tabs to learn will only hold you back.

Practicing you ear is as important as everything else. We're in the music business and sticking to tabs only can really create a bad habit of not actually listening to music.

Great advice !! Ear training is very important , just start slowly with simple chords and work your way up!

Your are not going to be a robot to imitate the part learn the music behind it.
