A lot of people avoid using the pinky altogether but you even performed a bend with it which is real good (this is something I like doing too). You also have the beginnings of a good vibrato too. It was even, steady and not too fast. A really fast vibrato can cheapen a player's sound and make them sound naive but a slower, more controlled vibrato suggests control and restraint. I would suggest inclining your left hand at more of an angle when perfomring vibrato. The whole motion should include the wrist and begins as far back as your elbow. Use your thumb to hold the top of the neck and rotate your hand away and towards the headstock whilst gripping the string with your fingers. The strength of vibrato comes from all these parts, not just the finger itself. If you just use the finger alone to change the pitch of the string you'll find it harder to keep it even and controlled because a finger alone doesn't have as much power. If you watch some of my vibrato lessons (from the second Vibrato Odyssey lesson onwards) you'll see the hand angle I mean. You don't have to change anything else about your playing style at all, your hand positions for everything else are great.. you just need a little extra hand angle for the vibrato parts to give you that strength and control. This applies mainly to the first 3 fingers.. when you used vibrato with your little finger, that was very close to how I would do it You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. I think vibrato needs to be a bit more wider and better controlled, but you're on the right track. Also, you will get used to it, but for future takes, just to tell you that attitude is also appreciated. So, if you are good with your take, try to really pay less attention to the neck itself (all the time), and try to show some showmanship.
