I have a PRS Mark Tremonti Signature model and my acoustic is a Garrison G20. Garrison was a guitar company here in Newfoundland but Gibson bought them out a couple of years ago.

Whoa man! How's the Tremonti signature? I never put my hands on one of those biggrin.gif

Les Paul Gibson Standard (Double Cut) - I love this baby, 24 frets, low action, haven't had a problem with it even though it was second hand. Easy access to all frets including up high. Smooth, natural blues tone. Minimum to no buzz. Only issue is it balances out flat naturally in the lap when playing, so make classical playing (with the neck upwards) a bit harder.

To go with it,

PodHD500 and DT50 2x12 Amp - this is a dream match made in heaven. Automatically syncs with each other and sounds awesome for so many different tones - rock, blues, jazz, metal, etc. Even as a bass guitar tone and effects. Digital front end / Tube backend!

So glad I saved up and got this setup, couldn't be much more happier with it! cool.gif

I played with it couple of times, it's a cool instrument. It belongs to the cheaper range I believe, but well made, nice lookin, and with very clear and hot output. It yells. It seems a bit too easy on my hands tho cool.gif

Favorites:

Gibson 58 VOS Les Paul
Gibson Les Paul Traditional Standard

I Play these the most because I have 10 four legged fur people with the run of the house:

Gibson Les Paul Premium+ Studio
Gibson Les Paul Faded Mahogany
American Fender Telecaster - discontinued model with a humbucker at the neck, with the switch that lets you have 6 combination of coils)

Other Electrics that I Play:

American Fender Strat
Gibson SG
Gibson Firebird
Parker Mojo

Acoustics:
Martin D-35
Dobro Dobro

Guitar I never play because I got it when I was 20 in my early failed attempt to learn guitar, and it has been at my brother's home way out in Bumf*** Egypt ever since.

Old Gibson ES120T

QUOTE (JamesT @ Jul 15 2011, 12:49 AM) *
sunglasses." I guess it's true. I stopped getting rid of guitars after making two very big mistakes. First I traded my Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul (that I bought with a bank loan when I was 17) for a digital reverb unit about 5 years after I got it. The guitar is probably worth bookoo bucks now, and the reverb unit, which I still have, is worth about $20. Then I once bought a pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster at a garage sale for $400 (the original owner was an older gentleman who had never actually played it so it was in mint condition). I then sold it the next day to a friend who ran a music store for $700. The sad part about that one is that I didn't really need the money at that time as I had just started my first job as an electrical engineer and was doing ok. Oh well, live and learn I guess, but that's when I decided to start keeping all my guitars. So

Story to bring tears to one's eyes. My sob story is not quite as bad. In my early failed attempt to learn guitar when I was 20, I bought a Gibson Dove, but traded it in and got a Martin D-35. Not horrible, but I would have rather kept the Dove. I got my Martin all worked on under my lifetime Warranty a couple years ago. Warranty to Martin means it cost me $500 to do the work, rather than $1,100. After a number of years, even the best maintained acoustic guitars need this kind of work.

I owned 2 very old, I mean mid 50's Fender tweed amps. Sold one for a song, and gave the other away. Definitely regret that.

I would like to own your Black Beauty. I just like Les Pauls for some reason, I never seem to change in that regard, nothing else seems as good to me.
