Hi,

I'm trying to understand how to do the high note in the first part of the song (The overdriven sustained sound.)

It should be something like this but I can't cover it...

Thanks

That's feedback, you would need an amp at pretty high volume
and you should be close by to get caught by feedback.
Another way is to "imitate" that effect by playing tapped (or touched) harmonic,
you do the bend on G string and then you slightly touch the string at 14th fret,
that will give you one octave higher sound (2+12=14).
Or you can touch is at 7th fret for 2 octaves higher sound.

According to that GP file it says 'Feedback' so you need to play the note and then find a position where your Guitar creates a resonant frequency with your Speaker! If you are DI'ing into an Interface then I'm not sure how to create feedback but maybe someone else will be able to help!
