GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Another One Introduction Thread

Posted by: Jouve Dec 9 2012, 03:16 PM

Hello guys!

Well, I'm not quite a new user, joined in July(lol), but have finaly decided to attend to the forum.
My name is Ivan. I'm from the suburban area in the south of Moscow, called Troitsk(you know, it's Russia - with bears and vodka biggrin.gif ).
I've been studing in the institute for tourism and hospitality, and i plan to work in that industry in future. My hobbys are jogging, learning foreign languages, reading, playing good old console games with friends.
Three years ago i decided to study guitar, And well, it was quite an aimless timepassing. I felt happy just holding in in my hands and getting those sounds.I've also developed some bad habbits. But now i feel like i'm stuck at it, and want to force my playing a bit. Most of all i feel bad bout my rhythm playing. It sounds to me quite good when i'm playing. But when i listen to the recorded track my ears start bleeding tongue.gif .
I like different music styles, but well... Feel really attracted to the pushy rock guitar sounds of Fogerty, Blackmore, Page.
So i hope that we will get on well!

Hi Ivan, good to meet you !

We've been talking about Russia a lot lately, for some reason !? Snow, vodka etc.. wink.gif

It's great that you want to improve your rhythm. Do you have any Soundcloud recordings or videos at all where we can listen to your rhythm ?

A lot of the time people have a habit of rushing in front of the beat.. I just wonder if that's something you do.. we can help cure it ! smile.gif

Hello Ivan! Welcome to GMC! As the guys said, just shout out if you need us! The groove is important regardless of what genre you'd like to play, so as soon as you will post some recordings here as Ben suggested, we can tell you more about what you can do to improve!
