GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Strat Pickguard Vector File?

Posted by: Joruus May 22 2008, 11:18 PM

Hi guys,

Does anyone have or know how i could get a vector file (eps, ai, cdr, or dxf file)
of the exact shape and size of the pickguard of a Stratocaster (HSS) type guitar ?
I need the file to customize my pickguard.

Thanks and greetings,
Joruus

I can see if I can find one smile.gif

If not, give me a few days and I'll make you one wink.gif

I'm working on it now, will be done in 10-15 mins smile.gif

edit: sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

My computer just crashed, right before I was finished...
I'd like to utter some unappropriate words, but I'll say them silently to myself...

I have gone upstairs to the people I rent an apartment at, and will install Illustrator and get it done in an hour hopefully smile.gif

But I'll get it done as I said *crossing fingers* wink.gif

Hahaha, I didn't see that it was so old biggrin.gif
Yeah, well... I've already made it so hopefully he or someone else needs it smile.gif

I didn't include the Volume and Tone knobs in the vector drawing though, but the pickguard with all the screws and pickupholes are here smile.gif

For use in Illustrator (You can probably open them in Photoshop as well, but it won't be Vector there...)

Hehe, I can be polite and say: Thank you, Audiopål ^^
Even though I don't need the thing, or even know what it is tongue.gif

I guess Kaznie needs it , he revived the topic smile.gif
I can imagine this is to be used for some kind of printing on the pickguard itself.. ?

Hopefully someone can put it to use smile.gif

Yeah, with a vector file you can basically zoom in and out as much as you want to without it getting pixellated and getting distressed smile.gif
Looks just as good no matter how big or small you make it so it's perfect to design on as you can make it bigger and be very detailed and then shrink it again to normal size and it will look perfect smile.gif

Did I make sense? huh.gif

Anyway... I'm probably the only one who cares biggrin.gif

Sorry I only saw this one on the bottom of the first gear page and thought it was a week old or some, just trying to help Joruus. Sorry guys! I didn't see it either.

Thanks for reviving it tongue.gif
but i won't really need it anymore since i got my http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=19308&st=20&start=20 that already looks cool enough.

I bought a skin (sort of a sticker) for my guitar hero controler wich looked really great and good quality (same material as used for car striping/logos), and asked the guy if he could make a custom one for my real guitar pickguard.
He could do that but he needed a vector file to have the exact size and shape for it.

I made a quick preview picture of how it was gonne look biggrin.gif
Its just a quick image edit.. the black has stars on it wich you dont really see here.
