Aite.. heres mine. Couldn't come up with a new song so I thought I will just enter my old song, all programming, composition and playing is done by me. Its called Memories '97. I wish I could put some faster riffs in there but couldn't play faster back then. Hope you will like it as I do. It has some really nice memories of my college life!

Eventually! Here be my effort!!

The song: The song is a upbeat blues track, all the backing and everything was done by my own hand (first backing ever!) and I am very pleased with the result! Kit used was a Fender Strat, A Les Paul, Reaper, EZ drummer, some VST's and some imagination!

The video: Robert johnson was the finest blues man to walk the earth and this is a dedicated to him. The common theme running through it is a video I found that is about his track "Me and the Devil blues", legend has it that Robert sold his soul to the devil in order to play great blues guitar and was hounded by the devil ever after. The other bits of the video speak for itself, all the best guitarists in the world in one place (imo of course)

Thanks for looking and thanks to GMC for this competition, it has once again pushed all my musical boundaries even further!

Here's my entry. It's a 3:49 long instrumental piece, called "Fortress of Secrets".

Everything was composed by me, and all the electric guitars were played by me, with my Ibanez through my PODxt. The drums were made using Acoustica Beatcraft, and the bass guitar and strings were made using FL Studio 8.

This is the first time I've properly recorded a full song, and the first time I've composed an instrumental song. I've always wanted to compose and record a full instrumental song, but never bothered, so this contest was a great push to get me to follow a project through until the end.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my song, and good luck to all the other contestants.

I decided to go with a different song than my previous one (If this not allowed, I will re-upload it), I figure since the deadline is still quite a ways off, Shouldn't be too big a deal.

I thought that a 10:00 song might not be everyones bread and butter, so here is a new one. Straightforward, Brutal, Heavy, and a bit disturbing.

I'm also confident that it showcases almost everything GMC has taught me over the past 2 years

All instruments and vocals are done by me (Drums are programmed obviously).

I don't know if this has any bearing on the song itself, but here are the lyrics.

Here is my take. I recorded it all today and composed nearly the whole song yesterday. I was such a fool that I didn´t use the previous days to do everything. I´m going on vacation today, so I had to submit my take today. I hope you like it.

So guys, my take I've been working on this for the full competition lengt by now, and I'm going on holiday tomorow, so I can't do anymore I hope you guys like it! It's all me, drums with EZdrummer, bass by me, guitars by me, mixing by me, but some tips from Ivan and Jafomatic.

Title: He Took My Car

About the song: the song is actually about a thing that happened to a friend and I in the Xbox game Halo 3. We all piled in a warthog and we started driving away. we heard the following "HHEEEEE TOOOOKKKK MMMAAAHHHH CCCEERRRRRRRR" in a redneck angry voice....it was soo halarious....i decided to write a song about what he must have been going through.

Part 1: spawning, seeing the car, running the car, dodging bullets and rockets ETC to get to the car.

Part 2: He notices that me and my friend want the car, so we both start racing for it...emotional thunder and rain pour down

Part 3: ANNGRRYYYYY

Part 4: My friend and i driving around in circles around him killing other players with the car (you hear the halo medals)

Part 5: Being on hold, metaphore for waiting for the car to spawn again

part 6 (conclusion): reuniting with the car.

i finally managed to finish the recording of my song!!
this is a song that i wrote for this competition, since its my first composition.
I did my best to make it sound good, and put quite a lot of efforts into the guitar parts, but its really hard to make a line 6 sound like a mesa or a soldano lol.
its also the first time i made a drum line, used MIDI lines for bass and VSTs, and recorded and mixed a full song, so i don't have much experience on those kind of things!
so i really hope you will take from your time to listen to it, and that you like it

gears used:
BASS:MIDI bass line through 4front bass VSTI, with some eq-ing
Drums: Acoustica beatcraft
Guitar, rythm: Ibanez RG321 through Toneport GX through Gearbox, with a reverb vst and eq-ing
Guitar, lead : Ibanez S320 through toneport GX through gearbox, with reverb VST and eq-ing

I used reaper for all of the mixing stuff.

i may do a video sometime before the deadline too

Anyway, here is my contribution.
I managed to do the final touch... video is supposed to be added in a few days. This is a kind of blues song with a bridge. Text and recording notes below:
