Thin Lizzy
Led Zeppelin
Deep Purple
The Who
Nirvana
The Traveling Wilburys (Although I do like Petty and the Heartbreakers more)

I think most of my favorite bands have split up for some reason or another....death, musical direction, front man is nuts tongue.gif

Edit: also must add Fleetwood Mac and Janes Addiction.

It's not just Blink 182. I pretty much hate all punk rock. Greenday is at the top of my list, but for me it's just the repetitive riffs and no solos in all of the songs that I've heard by Blink 182's.

Also i must say 'Sentenced', they mutually called it quits in '06 i believe, which is better than a sudden break up, but they are a truly unique band with a truly unique sound and style, I miss them sad.gif

Everyones favorite bands have split up. i think that is because the classic rock era was 1950-1980. Now the world of music has been taken over by genres like pop, rap, hip-hop, and punk rock. dry.gif

Yea GnR is definitely not GnR anymore. Axl is not what made that band.

Pink Floyd. Closest I ever got to seeing them live was Roger Waters sad.gif.
Audioslave.
Black Sabbath with Ozzy.

I saw Floyd in England in like 76 77 or 78 I forget which year it was, I was seeing a lot of groups back then in a lot of different area's of Europe. The concert was OK, not great. From what I remember they screwed up quite a bit and had a lot of technical difficulties with their elaborate effects. It was still cool to see Floyd though, it was one of the concerts I really wanted to see. Matter of fact I think I've seen everyone I've ever wanted to see with the exception of Zeppelin and of course the Beatles. One of the good things about being my age is that I've been able to see a lot of original acts when they were hot. Acts like:

Black Sabbath (76 or 77)
Ac/Dc (Germany 76 or 77)
(Above was the same concert)

Queen (orpheam theatre, Boston ma like 74 or 75)
Floyd (England like 77 or 78)
Judas Priest(England 78 or 79)
Stones original band (Boston Garden 74 I think?)
David bowie(ziggy stardust tour, 73, 74 or 75))
Kiss original tour in the 70's(74 or 75)
Deep Purple(Boston Garden 75 or 76

Tickets were a lot easier to get back in the day, lol. I've seen probably 80 concerts all together, some groups several times.
