Sounds awesome! Did you use the distortion pedal you won in the "Beginners Jingle Bells" contest?

Very good sounds. I also use Dimarzio Air Norton in the bridge position of my strat, they make good aggressive pickups.

Sounds great smile.gif Gotta love pod farm! I'm a big fan of modeling for recording as it lets you change the tone after the fact. It can take serious time to tweak your sounds just the way you want but if you bake distortion on to the track when you record by going through a pedal, you are married to it. If you record clean and use Pod Farm or Guitar Rig or what not, you can change the entire sound in mixing which can be very handy. Not everyone approves of this method of course, but I'm fond of it for recording. For practicing, I still use a pedal board though.

i feel like a traitor to my roots, but it's SOO useful to have the clean sound, what i'm doing for the guitar work on my album, i'm splitting my guitar signal in 2 and recording an amp mic'd and the second signal to guitar rig 4, and it's going great so far smile.gif

Guys I have a question bout my PIckups..

So I want to place an push pull switch to turn my HUMS into Singles ... But my question is will my pickus losse bite when in HUMBUCKER mode ??? ( cause I heard that when you place a splitcoil in you pickups they losse bite in humbucker mode and they never really stay truely single coils.. )

But maybe may Guitar already has this power loss in humbucker mode and i don´t even know it ..cause when I use positions 2 and 4 the humbucker splits and joins the midlle pickup sound ..

So what do you think ???

Will I loss Power If i put a Push/Pull switch ?? or Will it stay the same because my humbuckers already have that power loss ??

Your humbucker sound will NEVER CHANGE unless you have accidently wired it wrong (out of phase, etc...)
The loss in bite and power goes to the splitted humbucker - which makes sense because you switch one of the two coils of and you get half a humbuckersound but still not a real single coil sound.

Humbuckers are wound to work as humbuckers, singlecoils are wound to sound like a single coil. Trying to use one of the humbucker coils alone can never sound as good as a singlecoil that was made to sound on it's own.

Cool smile.gif I was afraid to place a split coil in may Ibanez beacause my teacher told me that it would make my humbuckers would lose a bit of power ( when using 2 coils ) ... but since it doesn´t, I´m gonna do it to get even more versability out of it ..

He was propably talking about general signal loss because the signal has to go through more wiring...
The effect however is completely unoticable as it has far less impact than when you put another pedal in your signal chain - which itself is almost not noticable.

I'd say to go try a guitar with Coil Taps built in and see if you like what it does. It's hard to tell if you are going to like the sound or not just by reading about it. You can find guitars with coil taps, that split humbuckers to singles at most any guitar store. Try to play through an amp/setup close to what you have at home. It's always a good idea to get your hands on gear and just give it a go. It can save you loads of money and frustration in the long run.
