Another awesome guitarist I think more people should know about. He started out in a band called Cacophony, with another amazing guitarist you may know, Marty Friedman. They made some cool music with Cacophony, but my favorite part of that band was the extremely long fast harmonized lines Marty and Jason would do together that made Iron Maiden's stuff look easy! Crappy quality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et9jxPjBFdA
Then he went on to do some solo stuff, and an album with Diamond Dave(David Lee Roth). Unfortunately Jason then was diagnosed with ALS soon after joining with David Lee Roth(1990 I think?), and given 3 years to live, well he's still alive today but he is paralyzed and can't play guitar. He still writes music though, and what beautiful music it is! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h7jeZdlF_w

Awesome guitarist and awesome person, he even answered a question of mine in Guitar World.

Cool documentary, kinda long:

Thanks for posting RIP Dime!

He's had a great impact as a guitarist but even more as a fighter with his will to live, you and me would perhaps concider he hasn't got much left but in some way he seem to think positive about things and pick out the bright stuff in life. I envy him for his ability to think positive and highlight those parts, I wish I could be as positive a person as he is.
He's posted a lot which is worth to read in his homepage.

He sold his Marshall amp on eBay recently btw.

Ah yes me to, his passion for playing is pretty much unrivaled, him behind a guitar is as natural dirt in the earth.

Very nice song!!

He is a real fighter. I read interviews, and saw the hot licks video. he took my heart with his words and his music. I used to listen Perpetual burn and Speed metal symphony a lot.

Those were one of the albums that opened me up to the "Shred World" if you will, or in other words, God-Like guitar playing and having perfect control over an instrument and what it does
