Have anyone else spotted this phenomena: the older You gets the slower You play???
I just realized that I play slower now than for two years ago, even that I spend some
two-three hours/day playin. Isn't it supposed to be the other way round?
Anyway, my theory about this is as follows:
We play slower and slower because when we are finally singing at the last verse, we
wants to hit an eternal whole note. (or maybe a pause??? )
Of course this theory doesn't fit all, mr Malmsteen would be killed by beeing ran over with a bus
or something before he even thinks to slow down his playing.....

A new song from my basement. This one took me bout 3 weeks to record for some
unknown reason. Usually it just takes me a day or two....
I guess the lyrics and the tempo was the hardest part, at first I played 5 bpm slower
but I could'nt get a good groove, so I had to remake it from the start....

Recording notes:
DAW: Cubase, TC-Electronics Konnekt48, Powercore
Guitar: Miced with two SM 58 and RÖDE condenser mics
Three guitar tracks, wah-wah and pitch-shift from Waves
and a little Univibe at the end of the solo.
Vocals recorded with RÖDE and presonus tube-pre-amp for a little distorsion.

Feel free to comment!!!! :-)

We all know that a drummer rarely knows the difference between a chorus and a verse, plays when he's not supposed to and beeing totally impossible to discuss anything with. So to illustrate how it might look like at our rehearsals, I post this clip. Enjoy!
