Gmc´s first Thanks for your support! nowadays my situation $$$$ is so difficult , i have a lot of responsabilities etc.... i supposed that like you... but... ok... May you help me with some ideas to search a job about this project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uHw4uds010 I need ideas like a ... How is the appropiate prize to get by gig ? So are you wanting to start playing local gigs? The way that usually goes is you contact some venue owners and see if they want to book your band. You can send them your demo or bring it by. In many cases, venues will expect you to sell a certain number of tickets or by them yourself which is tough. Turning it in to something that makes money and doesn't cost money is a long and winding road that usually takes several years. So the first suggestions I'd make is "Don't quit your day job" as they say  or in this case, go find a day job so that you can pay rent and bills while trying to get rolling.Some artists like KEITH MERROW used the Youtube approach which also takes several years to turn in to a profession. There are not shortcuts sadly, that I'm aware of. But start sharing your music everywhere, give it away for free to anyone who will take it, play every gig you can, make wads of youtube vids and try to create a following. That means you team up with another band in your genre. Doesn't have to be an established act. If you contact a venue and tell them you can fill an entire evening with both bands, that's very attractive for a venue or booker. If they book you, they will have to be looking for similar bands anyway to open up or close for you. You save them the work and increase your chances of getting gigs.As for promo, you need a demo of course, but also a strong bio. A good bio consists of what you sound like (influences), what sets you apart from other bands, what you've already accomplished and what people can expect. No more than one page though. |

You received excellent feedback here. A good press kit with photos, audio, some videos, creating a website with this same info are the first step to then start visiting producers, bars, events places, restaurant, hotels and every place where music is required. Also start a facebook page, and share info frequently there.
Doing some free shows and inviting all your friends to film a live video would be also a good idea. It's a way to show you in action. I think that you can get good ideas from this site: http://www.newrockstarphilosophy.com/ Cover bands are always welcome and you could become very popular if you do a good marketing work. You can also be the "house" band of a known place like The Roxy or the equivalent there at Colombia. Roxy's house band here has played with Gun's & Roses, Aerosmith and some other very important bands. Cirse started exactly as an acoustic project like this one, we even played that cover.  But then we decided to focus on original songs.
