Hi Robert,

That was very cool! I like the guitar sound you had and soloing worked well with it.
You can use other 4 boxes from CAGED system. That one is in E shape, you got CAG and D shape left.
Think of C major scale all over the neck just played from D to D !

Hello Pedja

Here is G Mixolydian my assignment nr3.Attached File  g_mixolydian.MP3 ( 2.93MB ) Number of downloads: 191

This was take nr 3. I had to get used to the scale.

Chords: G-F-C (backing track I borrowed)

Wasn't very comfortable in playing the G mixolydian in this track yet.
Also I not very familiar with this style either. Never the less. I like to be allround which means I must cross new boarders.

Cheers
Robert

Hello Robert,

Great melody choice but rhythm placement needs work in this one. I can see how new mode influenced you to make some rhythm mistakes but I am happy that your melodies were strong over the harmony!

I look forward to your final assignment man! REC lesson of your choice smile.gif

Hello Pedja,

I will try to make another mixolydian take cause just when I recorded it I looked "not to bad" but when I listened to it later I totaly agree with you. I wasn't sure about the scale and that is why the rhythm is very well.

In the men time I am working on a REC lesson
